Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and HAMRA (a service operated by Ehtisham Rasool) (“HAMRA”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of hamraofficial.com, the HAMRA web application, and the HAMRA Companion browser extension (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Your Agreement

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service on your own. If you are aged 1617, you may use the Service only with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service if you are under 16.

By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. What HAMRA Is — and Is Not

HAMRA is an AI-assisted job-search platform. It scores your career readiness, analyses your resume, identifies skill gaps, matches you to jobs, and helps you prepare for interviews.

HAMRA is not a recruiter, employer, staffing firm, or placement agency. We do not employ you, represent you to employers, or guarantee interviews, job offers, salaries, or employment of any kind. HAMRA provides tools and guidance; the outcome of your job search depends on many factors outside our control.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@hamraofficial.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or sold.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.

4. Acceptable Use

When you use HAMRA, you agree that you will:

  • Provide accurate information. Do not fabricate work experience, education, or skills.
  • Use the Service lawfully. Do not use HAMRA for any illegal, harmful, deceptive, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Upload only content you have the right to. Do not upload material that infringes intellectual property, or that contains another person's personal data without their authority.
  • Respect the Service. Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, copy, or redistribute the Service or its AI systems; do not attempt to overload, probe, or circumvent its security or rate limits.
  • Not misuse others. Do not use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate anyone.

5. The HAMRA Companion (Browser Extension)

The HAMRA Companion is an optional browser extension. By installing or using it, you agree that:

  • The Companion acts as your personal agent during browser sessions you initiate. It is click-initiated — it never crawls, scrapes in the background, or runs without your action — and it is not a bot operated by HAMRA.
  • You are responsible for third-party compliance. Your use of the Companion on any job site or applicant-tracking system is governed by that site's own terms of service. You represent that you are permitted to access and act on each site you use it with, and you agree to use the Companion only where doing so is consistent with that site's terms and applicable law.
  • HAMRA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any job board or applicant-tracking system. References to such platforms are for compatibility and identification only.
  • The Companion enforces user-protective safeguards — randomised pacing, captcha-abort, and per-platform rate limits. You may not disable, bypass, or modify them.
  • You may revoke any Companion session at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or revoke Companion access if we detect abuse.

6. AI Output & Transparency

HAMRA provides career suggestions, not guarantees.

Our AI-generated insights — Career Readiness Score, DISC personality profile, interview feedback, career recommendations, and job matches — are decision-support meant to guide your career, not dictate it. They are probabilistic, may contain errors, and should be verified before you rely on them. You are solely responsible for your career decisions.

  • You are interacting with AI. Features such as the AI mock interview use an automated AI system, and content it produces is AI-generated. We make this clear within those features.
  • Personality analysis is indicative. Your DISC profile reflects potential professional traits inferred from your questionnaire — not your complete identity. Human personality cannot be fully captured by AI.
  • You may request a human review of any insight by emailing privacy@hamraofficial.com.

7. Subscriptions, Billing & Auto-Renewal

  • HAMRA offers a free tier and paid Pro and Premium plans, billed monthly or annually.
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We email you a receipt each cycle.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A price change never affects a billing cycle you have already paid for.
  • Taxes. For payments in INR, applicable Indian taxes (such as GST), if any, are reflected in the price shown to you at checkout. For international payments, Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record and applies any sales tax or VAT due in your jurisdiction.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

14-Day Full Refund

Get a full refund within 14 days of any Pro or Premium purchase — no questions asked. Start one yourself from Settings → Subscription, or email support@hamraofficial.com.

After 14 Days

Refunds are considered case-by-case for technical issues or service unavailability. Email support@hamraofficial.com with your payment ID.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method, via the gateway you paid with (Razorpay for INR, Dodo Payments for international payments).

EEA / UK consumers — right of withdrawal. You have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. By buying a paid plan and using paid features immediately, you expressly ask us to begin providing the service during that period and acknowledge that the statutory right is lost once the service has been fully performed. This does not reduce your rights: our 14-day refund above is at least as generous and applies regardless.

9. Intellectual Property

Our property. The Service — including its software, design, content, AI systems, and the HAMRA name and logo — is owned by HAMRA and protected by intellectual-property laws. “HAMRA” is an unregistered trademark; nothing here grants you any right to use it. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms.

Your content. You keep ownership of everything you upload or create — resumes, answers, photos, and other materials (“Your Content”). You grant HAMRA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in encrypted backups, which are purged on the cycle described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

AI output. We do not claim ownership of the AI-generated insights the Service produces about you. You may freely use them for your own career purposes.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and links to third parties (for example, payment processors, job boards, and applicant-tracking systems). We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of any third party. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party's own terms.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

Consumer rights. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section limits any warranty or guarantee that cannot be excluded under the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • HAMRA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill.
  • HAMRA is not liable for career or hiring decisions you make based on the Service, nor for the outcome of any job application.
  • HAMRA's total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
  • We are not responsible for outages, losses, or breaches caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HAMRA harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of any third party's rights or terms — including the terms of any job site you use the Companion with. This section does not apply to the extent a claim arises from HAMRA's own breach of these Terms, and it does not apply where you act as a consumer and local law does not permit it.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, use the Service unlawfully, abuse or overload our systems, or engage in fraudulent payment activity. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the issue first.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — survive termination.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact legal@hamraofficial.com so we can try to resolve the dispute informally. Most issues are resolved this way within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, or, at either party's election, to arbitration seated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in English by a sole arbitrator.

If you are a consumer, nothing above deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, or of any right you have under that law to bring proceedings in your local courts. Those mandatory rights always prevail over this section.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service and the law evolve. We will revise the version and effective date above, and for material changes we will notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
