Position Overview

The Pediatric Treatment Coordinator serves as the bridge between the clinical team and patient families, ensuring a clear understanding of recommended treatment and supporting case acceptance. This role is responsible for presenting treatment plans, discussing financial options, and guiding families through the care process with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Present treatment plans to parents/guardians in a clear, compassionate, and confident manner

• Explain procedures, timelines, and next steps following doctor diagnosis

• Discuss insurance coverage, benefits, and out-of-pocket costs

• Offer and explain financial arrangements and payment options

• Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations when needed

• Coordinate scheduling for treatment, including follow-ups and multi-visit cases

• Support case acceptance and help patients move forward with recommended care

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Collaborate closely with doctors, hygienists, and front office team

• Ensure a smooth, positive patient experience from consultation through treatment

Qualifications

• Prior dental or orthodontic office experience required (pediatric experience preferred)

• Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment planning

• Experience with insurance verification and breakdowns

• Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferred

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
