As a Senior LNG Market Analyst, you will play a central role in driving the accuracy, depth, and strategic value of Kpler’s global Gas & LNG intelligence. Embedded within the Gas & LNG market operations team, you will bridge the gap between physical market dynamics and advanced data analytics to maintain trusted cargo-level data. Working closely with Product, Engineering, News, and Sales teams, you will turn complex trade datasets into actionable insights and shape future platform developments for our global clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain data accuracy and platform coverage: Monitor the Kpler LNG platform daily to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across cargo data and emerging market sectors like LNG bunkering.

• Perform advanced dataset analysis: Structure, audit, and analyse large, disparate, or unstructured trade datasets to track global energy flows and identify emerging market trends.

• Drive product roadmap collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to convert market observations into technical improvements, refining data pipelines and expanding product features.

• Support sales enablement and client engagement: Conduct technical product demonstrations in partnership with global Sales teams, helping clients extract maximum strategic value from Kpler solutions.

• Track market events and trade flows: Monitor key developments across global gas markets, including infrastructure outages, trade rerouting, and maintenance events, ensuring data models reflect real-time market realities.

• Foster internal and external networks: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal News and Insight teams while building strong industry networks to anticipate client intelligence needs.

Experience & Background

• 4+ years of experience as a Market Analyst (or similar role) focused on Gas or LNG markets - additional prior experience within the broader energy commodities sector would be advantageous.

• Strong technical proficiency in handling datasets using advanced Excel alongside practical knowledge of SQL and programming/scripting languages such as Python or VBA.

• Demonstrated capability in analyzing large, complex, and unstructured datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.

• Are a highly motivated individual, a self-starter who will be passionate about owning responsibilities upholding the trusted accuracy and agility of the Kpler data.

• Demonstrate strong capabilities in logical thinking with attention to detail.

• Experience presenting data findings, platform features, or market insights to external clients and commercial stakeholders.
