We’re hiring for a Quality Inspector Level 2 position in Hawthorne, CA. This is an opportunity in which you will be supporting either first shift or 2nd shift at full time hours. If you have a passion for mechanical products and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.
