Why we're hiring:
WPP is accelerating the adoption of AI across the enterprise, investing in a portfolio of strategic initiatives designed to transform how work gets done across our global business.
Within Enterprise Technology, we're building and scaling AI-powered solutions that help our people work smarter, automate manual processes and unlock new ways of working. From intelligent automations to AI agents and workflow solutions, we're creating capabilities that can be deployed across thousands of teams and more than 100,000 employees globally.
We're looking for a Project Manager (Solution Delivery) to help turn a growing pipeline of business demand into working solutions that deliver real impact.
This is a delivery leadership role focused on scale. Demand for AI-enabled solutions is growing rapidly across WPP, and you'll be responsible for taking opportunities from discovery through to deployment and adoption. You'll partner with business stakeholders, engineers and delivery partners to ensure solutions are well-defined, delivered effectively and embedded into day-to-day ways of working.
You won't be writing code yourself, but you will need the technical confidence to work closely with engineers, challenge assumptions, translate business needs into clear requirements and keep multiple projects moving simultaneously.
What you'll be doing
• Manage a portfolio of team and workflow-level solutions from initiation through to deployment, adoption and handover.
• Lead multiple concurrent delivery workstreams, coordinating internal engineering teams and external delivery partners to ensure successful outcomes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, facilitate discovery sessions and translate requirements into clear, actionable solution designs.
• Define requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that enable engineering teams to deliver efficiently and with confidence.
• Maintain delivery roadmaps, backlogs, sprint plans and milestones, ensuring priorities remain aligned to business value.
• Manage delivery governance including risks, issues, dependencies, decision logs and status reporting.
• Support intake, prioritisation and qualification of new AI opportunities, helping determine which ideas move forward into delivery.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance and deployment activities to ensure solutions are production-ready and meet business needs.
• Drive adoption activities including onboarding, training, feedback gathering and continuous improvement.
• Track delivery performance, throughput and value creation, ensuring work progresses efficiently through the pipeline.
• Collaborate with governance, security and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements and standards.
• Build trusted relationships across Technology, Transformation and business teams, acting as a key link between stakeholder demand and technical delivery.
What we're looking for
• Significant experience delivering technology, automation, data, platform or transformation initiatives within a complex organisational environment.
• Proven track record managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously within a portfolio delivery model.
• Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills, with the ability to convert broad business challenges into practical, buildable solutions.
• Technical fluency and confidence working with engineering teams, including the ability to challenge estimates, assess trade-offs and support decision-making.
• Experience managing external vendors, delivery partners or offshore teams.
• Strong programme and project governance capability, including RAID management, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or similar platforms.
• An understanding of AI, automation and digital technologies, alongside a genuine interest in how emerging technologies can improve business outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-volume delivery environment.
Nice to have:
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform or Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Exposure to AI, automation or enterprise workflow transformation programmes.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira or other Agile delivery platforms.
• Understanding of governance, security, privacy and compliance considerations within enterprise technology environments.
• Experience working within a global organisation supporting distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
