Basic Function

The Project Manager at Lumin Digital is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of Lumin’s digital banking platform for financial institutions. This role manages complex, multi-phase software delivery projects that involve coordinating with clients, internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure successful deployment and adoption. This is a client-facing role requiring strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to translate customer needs into actionable workstreams. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a consultative approach to technical implementations, driving projects to completion on time and within scope.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead complex client implementation projects, including Lumin’s core digital banking platform and related product offerings.

• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, work plans, and deliverables across multiple phases and stakeholders.

• Facilitate discovery sessions with clients to define scope, gather requirements, and convert customer needs into actionable workstreams.

• Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Client Success) and external vendors to align activities, timelines, and communication.

• Identify and manage project risks and issues, proactively developing mitigation strategies and communicating status updates to stakeholders.

• Lead regular project meetings, including internal stand-ups and client-facing status calls, documenting outcomes and tracking follow-ups.

• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, setting clear expectations and serving as a consistent point of contact throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Track and report project progress, using tools such as Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and project dashboards to maintain visibility across teams.

• Continuously improve implementation processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, documentation updates, and internal best practices.

Position Specifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• 4 years of experience in project management, including client-facing delivery of SaaS or enterprise software solutions required.

• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale software implementations for external clients required.

• Experience with project planning and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira) required.

• Experience in FinTech, digital banking, or a similarly regulated and complex environment is highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of Agile and/or hybrid project methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

• Proven leadership and facilitation skills, including the ability to drive accountability and coordinate across cross-functional teams.

• Passion for client success, and a consultative approach to project delivery and relationship management.

• Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting timelines and requirements.

Travel:

• Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year
