Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
This is an ONSITE role based in Rosemount, MN.
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist plays a critical role in creating a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace by leading initiatives that protect employees, operations, products, and the environment. This role partners across the organization to implement impactful safety programs, identify and mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture where safety is a shared responsibility.
As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you'll provide expert guidance on safety, ergonomics, and regulatory requirements, helping teams successfully implement new processes and improvements while keeping employee well-being at the forefront.
What You Will Do:
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to strengthen workplace safety and reduce risk.
• Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs, new hire orientation, and awareness initiatives that foster a strong safety culture.
• Partner with leaders across operations to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site audits, identify hazards, and drive corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Lead Safety Committee activities, emergency response planning, and preparedness drills.
• Manage regulatory reporting, safety metrics, and documentation, including OSHA, SARA, and SDS requirements.
• Support and reinforce key safety programs, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, and Ergonomics.
• Stay up to date on regulatory changes and proactively implement improvements that protect employees, operations, and the environment.
What It Takes:
• 4-year degree in relevant area of study with 2 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of experience conducting EHS inspections, risk assessments and promoting and monitoring workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of current and relevant Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Engineering, Operations, and Management.
