The HAMRA Companion extension is the piece that overlays match scores on job-board cards and submits queued applications.
Install
The extension is published on the Chrome Web Store as HAMRA Companion (unlisted). Install from the direct link in your dashboard at /extension.
It works in Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc, and any Chromium-based browser. Firefox support is on the roadmap but not shipped.
Pair with your account
After install:
1. Visit /settings/account while logged in.
2. Click Connect Extension.
3. The extension popup will confirm it's paired.
The pairing creates a long-lived token tied to your account. If you ever lose access to your browser (different device, fresh install), pair again — old tokens stay valid until you explicitly disconnect.
Verify it's working
Visit a LinkedIn jobs page (e.g. linkedin.com/jobs/). You should see a small gold chip on each visible result card showing the match score against your profile.
If you don't see chips:
- Refresh the LinkedIn tab — content scripts inject on document_idle.
- Check the popup — it should say "Connected to HAMRA."
- If the popup says "Not paired," repeat the pairing step above.
Troubleshooting
The extension uses the same hostname (hamraofficial.com) for both pairing and API calls. If your network blocks that domain (corporate firewall, VPN), the extension will pair but score lookups will silently fail. Try a different network or whitelist hamraofficial.com.
