Application Co-pilot is HAMRA's batched, tailored, anti-ban application workflow. This is what it does and what it explicitly does not do.
The pipeline, in order
1. 03:30 UTC nightly cron. For every user with Co-pilot enabled, we fetch fresh job listings from the sources you've selected, score each against your profile using the canonical matching engine, and queue the top matches.
2. Resume + cover-letter tailoring. For every queued match, we generate a resume snapshot and an AI-drafted cover letter tuned to that specific job.
3. Review (optional). If require_review is on, queued items wait in *Needs Review* status. You can preview, edit, or skip each one.
4. Submission via the Companion extension. When you click Run Autopilot in the extension popup, it opens each queued application in your own browser, one tab at a time, with randomized pacing (60–180 seconds between items). The extension fills the form with your tailored content.
5. Verification. When the extension detects a success URL or DOM marker on the platform side, the item moves from *Submitted by you* to *Submitted ✓*.
What it does NOT do
- It does not submit applications autonomously on a server. Every submission opens a tab in your browser.
- It does not click submit silently. The default is to prepare the application and wait for you to confirm.
- It does not submit to roles you didn't queue. The pipeline never adds items behind your back.
Safety invariants
The Autopilot run halts the entire session if:
- A captcha is detected on the page (anti-ban: continuing here gets your account flagged).
- The platform returns zero results on a search (signal that the account may be restricted).
- 5 minutes pass without an outcome from a single item.
Per-platform rate limits skip the rest of that platform's queue for the session — we don't retry.
When you'd want to pause it
- You're actively interviewing somewhere and don't want to flood the company.
- You're traveling and don't want submissions on weekdays you can't follow up.
Settings → Pause Co-pilot until does this. Set a date; submissions resume after.
